we stopped at an adorable fruit stand on the way down and loaded up on cherries, apricots, and nuts! perfect snacks for the drive :D

leftovers from our lunch at my new favorite restaurant.

all along highway 101, there are these old bells that mark the historical camino real, where all of the original california missions were. we also stopped at two actual missions on our trip!

at this second one, we found a tiny feathered friend inside (look closely!)

we also went to one of my favorite flea markets in alameda, and here is our haul for the day:

1. vintage honey tin 2. collection of old hankerchiefs to be used in an upcoming craft project 3. vintage floral buttons & resin earrings 4. antique lace to make detachable collar 5. old bottle (joe collects them) 6. vintage circle skirt
tonight i experimented with trimming my own bangs for the first time and they turned out wonderfully (if i do say so myself)! i was so nervous that i would ruin them, hehe! i also bought my tickets for the harry potter premiere! so excited!!!
What a fun trip! I've always wanted to get to Cali - I must do it soon since I finally got over my fear of flying :) Sounds like you had a great weekend!
