a few weeks ago, we went to san francisco's farmer's market at the ferry building, and i finally got to try french macarons for the first time!

they were so pretty and delicate. and they were from an adorable sweets shop called miette:

the same day, i also got a mocha with foam art!

we also had a little barbeque party with some friends one night, and this was what we had:

barbequed mini chorizos, grilled zuchini, garlic bread, watermelon and beer.....what could be better party food?
i have also been obsessed with sushi lately! this picture was from the night we saw fleet foxes. we found a cute little sushi place, and during happy hour all the rolls were half off! i've probably had sushi about 5 times in the last few weeks....i just can't get enough! i even wish i was eating some right now! :D

and this was a dinner invention of joe's that was so delicious! he made pork chops marinated in ginger beer, with roasted plaintains, mango, and pineapple, which we ate with ginger-lime rice. it was one of the best meals we've had in so long!

i'll be back to outfit posts later this week, i hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into our culinary life! if anyone wants recipes for anything, just ask!
so glad you go try macarons! aren't they the best? we don't have anywhere near us that makes them, but when i go back to my husband's hometown in columbus, OH, there's an adorable bakery called "pistacia vera" that makes amazing macarons. that place just may make me decide to relocate to OH one of these days.. :)
