rainy days in may

so this weekend and beginning of the week have been dreary and rainy. at least my fall boots get a chance to make an appearance on the blog! you also get to see what rain does to my hair! (read: frizzy fluffy nest on my head)

i always get compliments when i wear this dress, i really wish i knew more about it or had some great story about how i traveled to a distant land and bought it from a trader. in this case the distant land was the alameda flea market and the trader was an amazing vintage booth....

    Such an awesome dress with so much character. The colors are so pretty all together.

    The weather has been stupidly dreary and rainy here too. I keep trying to will it to be nicer by dressing spring-like. But instead, I just end up sad and cold with my feet all wet.

    The detailing on that dress is absolutely fantastic! Doesn't matter if it came from a local retailer or if you had to climb up mountains near Tibet and were gifted it by a wondering monk.... it still looks beautiful on you!

    They are the "Intyce" style by Steve Madden, which you can see here: http://www.stevemadden.com/item.aspx?id=42992

    I think these are sold at Nordstrom, but I actually got them on ebay for around $75! They have a very small wedge heel, but it's only about 1/3 inch and they feel like wearing flats! They are super comfortable!
