some knitting progress

thanks for all your kind words on my last post. i have been feeling slightly better, but i know these are feelings that will take a while to lessen, as i slowly adjust to life here on my own.

i finished knitting this scarf i've been working on for some time- it's really only the second thing i've ever made! i think i started it sometime last year, and then it got put away and forgotten about until winter came again. these pictures aren't great; it was rainy and i had to settle for some indoor shots.

amelie makes a much better model than i, hehe! you can't see too well in the pictures, but the yarn is this neat variegated color scheme with lots of pretty fall colors in it- i think i'll be wearing it a lot in the coming weeks! i also used a "knit two, purl two" stitch pattern that makes sort of a fake cable looking stitch-something slightly more adventurous for my second knitting project! 

i'm really excited to get back into knitting again, i don't know why it's something i only seem to do when it's cold. i have another half-finished project that i think i'll try to work on some more- maybe i'll post about that when (and if) i get around to finishing it!
