family wine tasting trip

it's taken me a really long time to warm up to wine. i grew up in a major wine-producing region, and never once went wine-tasting while living there. in the past few months, i have been experimenting with different wines and have finally developed a taste for it and might even say i enjoy it!

while i was visiting home for thanksgiving, my parents and i went wine-tasting together, which was an incredibly fun little adventure. it was a beautiful day, we brought a picnic of thanksgiving leftovers (turkey and cranberry sandwiches, anyone?) and i enjoyed many different wines and even bought some bottles to bring home! one winery we went to had a cat that lived there, and i found it sleeping on top of a barrel :)

this was outside my favorite winery- it was so pretty and scenic, it was like a little italian villa!

even looking at these pictures makes me miss being back home. now i'm back to school, and it's finals week already! the end of my first quarter of graduate school is fast approaching, and i'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming winter break. i even have plans to go wine tasting again!
