I get the news I need from the weather report

We have been having crazy weather here lately! These pictures are from last week, when it was raining. I snuck out for a minute to get some shots during a short dry spell. I was so excited to finally break out the tights and boots, but my excitement was short-lived, as the past week has been ridiculously hot! The past few days have been the hottest ones I have experienced since moving to SLO! (and I moved in august!)

this was the dress i got from the big modcloth sale from a few weeks back. i love it! the colors and print are just so perfect for fall, i couldn't wait to wear it at the first sign of cooler weather!

in other news, i am imposing a shopping ban for one month. i haven't done this before, but my shopping has gotten a little excessive lately, and i need to tighten my budget. by chance, i came up with this idea on tuesday, which would have the shopping ban end on 11/11/11. what a happy coincidence!

my mom came to visit me this past weekend, and we had a great time. we went to the beach, and i realized how silly it is that i live so close to the beach and almost never go. i've decided to try to make a trip at least every other weekend, even just for a short while, to read or take a little walk. 

i'm also getting over a little cold. a lot of people seem to be getting sick right now- it's the worst! at the very least, it's given me an excuse to be constantly drinking tea :D
